Was rescheduled to work with the girl we had scheduled for Monday. I had to reschedule for today since I woke up Monday to my kiddo being too sick to go to school. The person who works for a company that sells internet/phone/cable has no working phone. You've gotta love the irony! Anyway, he didn't actually do anything. Just said there's apparently a problem in the area - and left. Um, OK. So I guess the entire neighborhood has had shitty service for almost a week? If you say so lol! Had sports tonight then decided to go to Applebee's for dinner. (Don't you just love lazy nights?) The place was PACKED. I don't know what was going on, but apparently, something big was happening at Ruth Eckerd Hall tonight or something. It was crazy. Watched "Bones" tonight - LOVE that show - and almost finished putting the colored lights on the tree. Fuck what a job the tree has been this year. I still have a few hundred more colored lights to add and then all decoratons. Today is a blah kind of rainy day. It's dark gray out, it's pouring outside. Today's been interesting so far to say the least. Seriously slept in - which kicked ass! Made a quickie breakfast. I just don't work preperly if I don't eat breakfast. Woke up this morning to finding out that not only is she apparently not taking my request seriously, but she's continuing to film, while using my name. It's so hot & bright out today! Went to Blockbuster to see if we could get our hands on "The Nightmare Before Christmas", but that was a no go, so we rented "District 9" instead. It was a really good movie. I'm sure they'll be another to follow! Was surprised by some family stopping over & hanging out for a few hours tonight. It's Christmas Eve! I took the opportunity this morning to sleep in since we've all been up WAY late every day this week. Instead of cooking a big breakfast for everyone this morning, we decided to wing it. I grabbed a banana and started my baking. Merry Christmas! It's been a fantastic Christmas day! I woke up early and couldn't sleep. I straightened my hair, threw on some make-up and roamed around the house for a while waiting for everyone to wake up. I opened up a soda and voila - the first kiddo wakes up to the sound! Minutes later, the phone rings, officially waking up the rest of the household .. and it was time to begin. We doled out the presents and all took turns opening and taking pics. Everyone had a fantastic time. We were all starving by the time we finished so we heded out to Denny's for lunch. Of course they were packed, but they're pretty much the only place (short of the Chinese restaurants) open today. We happily waited our turn to be seated & ordered & enjoyed every second of our lunch outting. Back home again to play with our new goodies! One of our guests had to make their way back to the airport today (and we got there JUST in time for boarding!) This past week has flown by. Back home again and it was time to work on making dinner. We had a house full of guests arriving shortly. We made honey ham, green beans, homemade macaroni & cheese, sweet carrots, mashed potatoes & gravy & cranberry sauce. The day after Christmas! I slept in until 11 this morning & crawled into a different bed and fell back asleep again.
